How to Play Hearts
The Goal
Get the lowest score by avoiding hearts (1 point each) and the Queen of Spades (13 points). But if you collect ALL the hearts and the Queen, you "shoot the moon" and give 26 points to everyone else!
Passing Cards
At the start of each round (except every 4th round), select 3 cards to pass to another player. The passing direction rotates: left, right, across, then no passing.
Trick-Taking
The player with the 2 of clubs leads the first trick. You must follow suit if possible. Highest card of the led suit wins the trick. Hearts cannot be led until they've been "broken" (played in a previous trick).
Scoring
After all 13 tricks are played, count your points. Each heart is 1 point, Queen of Spades is 13 points. If you shot the moon (all 26 points), everyone else gets 26 and you get 0. Game ends when someone reaches 100 points.

Strategy Tips
♠ Pass Wisely
Consider passing high hearts, the Queen of Spades, or high cards in suits where you have few cards. This helps you avoid winning unwanted tricks.
♣ Control Your Suits
Try to get rid of entire suits so you can safely discard point cards when you can't follow suit. Being void in a suit gives you control.
♥ Watch the Lead
Pay attention to who has the lead and what they might play. Try to avoid winning tricks unless you're shooting the moon.
♦ Shooting the Moon
If you have a strong hand, consider shooting the moon! You need all 13 hearts and the Queen of Spades. High risk, high reward strategy.
