How to Play War
The Setup
A standard 52-card deck is split evenly. Each player starts with 26 face-down cards, and neither player chooses the order.
The Battle
Both players flip their top card at the same time. The player with the higher card wins both cards and adds them to their deck. Aces are high!
War!
When both players flip the same rank, it's WAR! Each player places 3 cards face down, then flips a 4th card. Highest 4th card wins all the cards. If they tie again, another war!
Victory
In Classic, the game continues until one player controls all 52 cards. You can also choose first-to-six, first-to-eleven, or a one- or two-minute match before play begins.
Card Rankings: 2 (lowest) → 3 → 4 → 5 → 6 → 7 → 8 → 9 → 10 → J → Q → K → A (highest)
