Information we collect
Information from Google sign-in
When you choose Google sign-in, Google provides the basic account information authorized on the consent screen: your name, email address, profile image, Google account identifier, and sign-in verification details. Card Games Cafe does not receive your Google password, contacts, Drive files, or Gmail content.
Account and gameplay information
We create an account and session record and may store game rooms, player positions, turns and game actions, scores, wins, games played, virtual coin totals, daily-challenge results, and timestamps. Other people at the same virtual table can see the display name associated with your play.
Usage and device information
Google Analytics 4 may collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser and device characteristics, referral source, and interactions such as starting or completing a game. We also receive ordinary server logs used to keep the service secure and available.
Preferences stored on your device
Sound and music settings may be stored locally in your browser. This information stays on that device unless your browser or its extensions handle it differently.
How we use information
- Authenticate you and keep your account session working.
- Create rooms, connect players and bots, process turns, and maintain scores and leaderboards.
- Prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and protect the reliability and security of the service.
- Measure site and game performance and improve navigation, rules, matchmaking, and play quality.
- Respond to support, privacy, or account-deletion requests.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Google user data
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We request only the basic identity permissions needed for sign-in. We do not use Google user data for advertising, sell it, or allow people to read it except when required to operate or secure the service, comply with law, or act with your affirmative consent.
Cookies and similar technology
Card Games Cafe uses an essential session cookie so signed-in play can work. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure usage. You can restrict cookies in your browser, though blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or multiplayer play. You can also use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
When information is shared
We share information only as needed with service providers that help operate Card Games Cafe, such as Google for authentication and analytics, hosting and database providers, and infrastructure used for real-time multiplayer. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse, or complete a business transfer. We do not sell personal information.
Retention, security, and deletion
Account and gameplay information is retained while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide and secure the service, maintain legitimate records, and meet legal obligations. Analytics retention is controlled through our Google Analytics settings. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
To request access, correction, or deletion, email support@cardgamescafe.com from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify the request. Deleting your account removes or de-identifies associated personal data unless limited retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or backup integrity.
Children
Card Games Cafe is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it. Where local law requires a higher age to consent to online data processing, a parent or legal guardian should review and authorize use.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes—for example, before introducing materially different data uses. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to support@cardgamescafe.com.
